photo analysis

Image
In this picture there is a man climbing up what looks to be a woman’s face. I feel that this image is artistic. This image is  photoshopped as there is no way a person could be that small or climb up a face.i think the photographers intent was to get you thinking and to draw your attention. To me this portrays a sense of invasion of privacy. It could also be a spin off the whole “Fly on the wall” say which would play into privacy invasion. The size helps me to feel as though the girl doesn’t realize he’s there or that the man in on a quest to her brain to learn all of her secrets. I got fly on the wall from the fact that the man is the size of a fly which shows another example of how size helped portrayed a message.

Lost in the World

What is the general premise of the video?  Todays society is malfunctioning due to how people are so stuck of what gets the most views, likes, or comments. It also shows that no one speaks or pays any attention to each other because of how addicted they are to their technology. For example instead of anyone trying to save the girl the just sat there and recorded her jump off a building. Is the video effective in conveying it's intended message?  It is very effective. It shows people ignoring each other, people walking into a pot hole and off a cliff cause they aren't paying attention, girls getting butt fillers, etc. Do you feel that this is more of a cautionary story (a warning) or more of an examination of our current social situation? Why?  I think its both a warning and an examination. It is waring us that these things could end in disaster but our society isn't quite this bad yet. It is an examination as well though because it is what we have started to become...

photo reflection

Impact-erik johansson:       This photo takes place in a lake of some sort during the day. It is an image of a man standing in a canoe on the lake shore staring at a bunch of broken mirrors. It seems that the man had just come to shore and is confused by what he sees. In the picture i see broken glass, a bright green canoe, clouds, blue skies, lots of trees, water, and a dead fish on the shore. In the lower left side of the picture are the dead fish, there are only two. In the bottom half there is what seems to be broken mirrors. In the center is the confused man. I can't tell if the man is looking at the glass or the dead fish, maybe both. The mirrors almost look like they are actually there due to the reflection of the man in them. Id say the viewers attention is in the general center, i switch between the man and the broken glass. This picture is confusing and makes you really wonder if it is real or not.  Dreamwalking-erik johansson:     ...

What Is Photography Ted Talk Questions

1) What question does Erik pose to the audience?  In the beginning Erik asked, "what is photography"   2) What was Erik’s first real passion?  Erik's first real passion was drawing.  3) What conception of photography did Erik previously hold?  He used to think that the process ended as soon as you clicked the trigger to take the picture and that anyone could do it.  4) How did this inspire him?  This inspired him to want to be different from everypone else and do something new with photography.  5) What “common goal” do Erik’s photos have?   The common goal is to trick you mind and to make you wonder if it could be real or how it isn't.  6) Define realism as used in this context.  Realism is taking something that is impossible and making it look real to trick the mind. 7) What principles does he adhere to when creating an image?  He al...
